Centreville, VA – February 1, 2022. MicroAutomation’s CEO, Suresh Gursahaney, was awarded the AFCEA Oklahoma City Chapter Coin after presenting on the topic of modernizing emergency communications.

The AFCEA is a professional association that connects people, ideas and solutions globally. It is an assembly for military, government and industry communities to work together and collaborate on strategies and technology for those who serve. On Tuesday January 11th, the Oklahoma City Chapter of AFCEA met in person, as well as online, to conduct their monthly Chapter luncheon meeting and invited Suresh Gursahaney to be their guest speaker. The Oklahoma City Chapter services Tinker Air Force Base and the surrounding greater Oklahoma City area.

Suresh Gursahaney, CEO and NG9-1-1 thought leader of MicroAutomation, leading provider of Next Generation 9-1-1 Solutions, was awarded the Oklahoma City Chapter Coin after his ‘Modernizing Emergency Communications with the DoD’ presentation at the AFCEA Oklahoma City Chapter meeting. The presentation was focused on exploring the challenges of enabling the Department of Defense (DoD) to support modern emergency communication solutions. Specifically, the current limitations of 9-1-1 communications at DoD bases and solutions for how the armed forces can transition from basic 9-1-1 services to Next Generation 9-1-1.

“It was an honor and privilege to be able to present new ways of using Next Generation 9-1-1 technology to support the people who protect and serve our country”, says Suresh Gursahaney. “Security, Cost, and Standardization are some of the key challenges for DoD. I shared several solutions for overcoming those challenges and how to transform a legacy Emergency Operations Center within the DoD.”

Suresh also briefed the 16th Air Force’s 38th Cyberspace Engineering and Installation Group at Tinker AFB, OK earlier in the morning on Next Generation 9-1-1, Command Post, and Call Center technologies.
