MicroAutomation Partners with RapidSOS to Provide Life-Saving Emergency Data to 911 Centers Using Omni911

Centreville, VA, 7/28/2020 – MicroAutomation, a leading provider of contact center and 911 solutions and RapidSOS, the emergency technology company that connects millions of devices to over 4,700 Emergency Communications Centers, today announced a partnership to provide public safety agencies that use the emergency call handling solution Omni911 with accurate location and additional data from the RapidSOS emergency response data platform.

Built-in partnership with public safety, RapidSOS’s emergency response data platform securely and automatically links life-saving data from connected devices, apps, and profiles directly to 911 and first responders in an emergency. When a 911 call comes in, Omni911 can now automatically query the RapidSOS platform to display available caller location and additional data (such as opt-in medical information, telematics, alarm sensor data, and more).

The Omni911 solution embeds RapidSOS’s web-based tool, RapidSOS Portal, to automatically query a caller’s location and access supplemental data upon receiving a 911 call. This removes the need for call takers to manually query incoming calls to initiate a location lookup and ultimately speeds response processes. Additionally, Omni911’s backend integration with RapidSOS APIs ensures all available caller information is retained and historically accessible within Omni911 call records. This function will be immediately available in the current and future Omni911 releases.

“By improving the quality and availability of critical information, RapidSOS’ integrated solutions will help improve emergency outcomes,” said Suresh Gursahaney, CEO. “We are proud to be working with a company like RapidSOS that is bringing transformational technology to 911 and first responders.”

Kara Cleaver, Director of Public Safety Partnerships at RapidSOS said, “We are thrilled to work with MicroAutomation to bring richer data to 911 centers using Omni911. This partnership will help 911 telecommunicators dispatch the right resources faster and provide first responders with enhanced situational awareness.”
