MicroAutomation Expands International Presence With Jordan’s E-911 Emergency System

MICROAUTOMATION EXPANDS INTERNATIONAL PRESENCE WITH JORDAN’S E-911 EMERGENCY SYSTEM

October 7, 2010 – Centreveille, VA: MicroAutomation, a systems integrator of call center automation solutions, announced they have completed a nationwide 911 project for the Kingdom of Jordan. This initiative was sponsored by the U.S. Department of State to enhance the emergency preparedness of our allies in this strategic region.

MicroAutomation worked with one of their largest international partners, Intergraph Public Safety, to establish a state-of-the-art Enhanced 911 (E911) Emergency Operations Center in the city of Amman, Jordan. This implementation allows residents of Amman and nearby areas who are need of emergency services to immediately reach emergency dispatchers and personnel. The system displays the caller’s location and other identifying information to the call-taker enabling a quick response to the emergency.

MicroAutomation’s role in the project was to integrate state-of-the-art call handling and location technologies with the public safety Computer Aided Dispatch technologies provided by Intergraph Public Safety. The result is a state-of-the-art dispatching center for the Kingdom of Jordan that includes management solutions that support emergency response agencies throughout the country, as well as provides command and control-level viewing during multi-agency and multi-incident emergencies. Other features are advanced geospatial and automated vehicle location capabilities to enhance the effectiveness of law enforcement agencies. There is also real time monitoring of central locations via video feeds and the ability for radio, phone, and SMS communications. This project is part of a comprehensive Homeland Security initiative to aid in responding to regional and worldwide terrorism threats and other security challenges.

“MicroAutomation is very proud and excited to be a part of this important project,” said Suresh Gursahaney, President and CEO of MicroAutomation. “We are honored to have a significant role in supporting the security efforts of our partner to further enhance public safety on an international basis.”
