MicroAutomation is seeking a Senior Solutions Architect who has the desire to be recognized as a Subject Matter Expert in the NG9-1-1 technical field. Candidates must have experience in translating functional requirements into technical solutions. This position requires individuals that are fast-paced learners and are comfortable in a sales engineering role with the ability to guide customers to practical solutions for relevant problems. Candidates must be able to speak with confidence and clarity and carry a conversation with decision makers as well as technical & functional managers. This position is open to candidates who live in the Northern Virginia area or with a proven history of working remotely. The position requires roughly 25% of travel.
NG9-1-1 Solutions Architect
This position will lead the development of technical architecture and solutions for our customers to support NG9-1-1 specific solutions – including state and local Public-Safety Answering Points (PSAPs), DoD, and campus 9-1-1 solutions. This role will demand high standards and technical acumen in NG9-1-1 and upcoming technologies that will define the industry. This role is an integral part of our Sales organization and reports directly to the Sr. Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

Advanced knowledge of NG9-1- call handling capabilities and best practices
System Engineering and Networking experience including but not limited to Cloud Computing, Telephony, Networking, and Software as a Service. Familiarity of radio systems, CAD and mapping applications will be helpful
Sales Engineering – Experience assisting in pre-sales and sales activities
Demonstrated ability to learn and apply new concepts and technologies
Outstanding communication and presentation skills – interpersonal, formal and informal, and in front of large groups
Technical acumen and results orientation
Must take the role and ownership of the technical aspect in the sales process, assist in RFP responses, and actively participate in regional and national trade shows
Must have Public Safety, and/or 9-1-1 Emergency Operations experience in PSAPs. Experience in DoD is a plus
